• To listen, first and foremost, to the voice of the children……
• To assist the family in need of help in drawing a plan for the future which is suitable to all and drastically reduces the stress and cost involved in keeping the family together and/or separation and custody.
• To protect and implement the rights of every child.
• To protect and implement the rights of every parent.
• To protect and implement the rights of the family unit.
• To assist and support the child, parent and family through breakdown and malfunction of the family.
• To advise and assist in whatever way possible in keeping the family together and where not possible, bring together a peaceful and mutual agreement for all.
• To assist and support where possible the children’s voices, needs and rights in the Family Law Courts.
• To assist in the compilation of and implementation of new Childcare legislation and policy – actual Law, not “Guidelines”.
• To campaign and lobby for extensive change and alteration to the damaging and dangerous “in camera” rule (Section 31 of the 1991 and 2003 Childcare acts) currently in use.
• To lobby and campaign to ensure that existing unlawful and degrading treatment of Lay Litigants cease’s and that any individual or couple representing themselves in the Family Law Court system are given the same information, recognition and respect that they need to fairly defend their children and/or themselves in all proceedings and any organisation or individual deliberately attempting to hinder this, be held accountable.
• To work with social partners to ensure that the rights of the child and family are fully recognised and paramount to social equality and to ensure that every child’s and families need’s and happiness, comes before the needs of the state.
• To ensure that where the rights of the child and/or family have been broken and breached, the individual or organisation concerned is held accountable before the open court exempting no-one and no institution.
• To ensure that by 2013, specially trained Family Law Judges are appointed to all 26 counties and will be dedicated to the rights of the child and family.
• To promote and increase public awareness of the plight of children and families trapped in the secrecy and corruption of the current system of the in camera family law courts.
